Born Thomas Elliott, he processed his film debut inside 1986, and played one of his earliest roles within Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992). He experienced supporting roles around many high profile films, including Boogie Nights (1997), The Thin Red Line (1998) and Magnolia (1999). He played a role of baseball player Mickey Mantle in 61*, before securing leading roles within his subsequent films.

He trained by owning Navy Seals and gained more than twenty kilograms to play a leading role in The Punisher (2004) and will likewise appear in the sequel to come out late 2006 or early 2007. Too when starring in the pic he too contributed his voice to The Punisher video game.

Additionally to his screen functiwithin, Jane hwhen appeared many days on stage, & received heavy critical reviews as Tom in Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie, and when Chris within Arthur Miller's All My Sons.

Jane is divorced from either Aysha Hauer, the girl of actor Rutger Hauer.

He & fellow actor Patricia Arquette are the parents of the toddler girl known as Harlow Olivia Calliope.
